WHO IS MOVINGWITH.BIZ AND WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU DO?

Movingwith.biz is an independent Home Information Pack provider. Our team of property and IT professionals have extensive experience gained over many years, giving them a unique understanding of today’s property world. We offer a one-stop web-based solution for the production of HIPs using tried and tested industry-leading software.

HOW DOES THE MOVINGWITH.BIZ SOLUTION WORK?

Very simply. Once registered with Movingwith.biz, an estate agent can create a HIP instruction at the touch of a button. All components of the HIP are then managed electronically and the whole process can be tracked securely online.

DO YOU EMPLOY HOME INSPECTORS AND ENERGY ASSESSORS?

Not directly. Our panel of HIs and DEAs operate on a self-employed/freelance basis.

DO YOU OFFER SERVICES TO ESTATE AGENTS ONLY?

No. We also produce HIPs for private individuals, solicitors, conveyancers and other HIP providers. In addition, we provide panel management services to other organizations, co-ordinating the delivery of Home Condition Reports (HCRs) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for clients across the country and managing the process electronically right through from instruction to completion of reports.

IF I JOIN YOUR PANEL, MUST I SIGN AN EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT?

No. We don’t operate fixed or exclusive contracts either for our clients or HIs and DEAs. You are free to take instructions from other sources as well as Movingwith.biz.

WILL YOU DEDUCT CHARGES FROM MY FEE?

It is our policy to pass on the entire fee for an EPC or HCR, less any IT disbursements that may be applicable. As stated above, a small additional management charge will be deducted in cases which we are panel-managing for others.

WHAT SOFTWARE DO YOU USE?

We operate via Quest software, an established and widely-used system that is recognized throughout the property industry.

HOW WILL I ACCESS YOUR SYSTEM?

Once you have registered with Movingwith.biz and provided us with confirmation of your licence/certification and PI insurance where applicable, you will be given details of how to log on to our system.

BUT MY CERTIFICATION BODY ISN’T USING QUEST.
HOW CAN THIS BE RESOLVED?

Quite simply. Registration on the system is easy to put in place in addition to other arrangements you have and we can discuss your options with you.

WHAT TURNROUND TIMES DO YOU EXPECT?

For EPCs, Movingwith.biz is seeking industry service standards from HI/DEAs of 3 days from instruction, subject to seller’s co-operation in gaining access to the property. For HCRs, this will be 5 days.

HOW SOON WILL I BE PAID AFTER COMPLETING A REPORT?

You should provide a single monthly invoice listing all of the Instructions you have carried out during the whole of the previous calendar month and the respective fee due for each Instruction (plus VAT if you are VAT registered). We will pay the amount of the invoice within 21 working days of the last day of the month in which the invoice was received by posting a cheque to an address you nominate within the UK.

WILL I NEED MY OWN PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE?

Yes. Where applicable, we will need to see evidence of your PI insurance and a copy will be retained for our records.

ARE YOU MEMBERS OF AHIPP?

Yes. Movingwith.biz is a member of the Association of Home Information Pack Providers (AHIPP) and we subscribe to the HIP Code. All of our packs bear the HIP Code logo.

We have been asked to panel-manage EPCs for other HIP providers. This may be at a lower and varied rate. DEAs will be offered this work in addition to EPCs generated by Movingwith.biz in our own right.
